First off the gun has shot about 1K of FGMM 168's without any problems whatsoever.
I picked up some german practice ammo, Steel rim with plastic case and projectile from Wideners, link below.

I have had shallow primer hits with one in about 50 going off.
I ran the same ammo through my Cetme and the primer hits were a little deeper and all fired.
Any way to adjust or swap out the firing pin on the FN or is this a no go.
Thanks

Probably a head space issue with the plastic cases. No adjustment on the FP and shouldn't be needed they hit plenty hard.

Re: Shallow primer hits with Fn SPR A1a

I was in a rifle class a couple years back and a guy was shooting an FN SPR in .308. He was having the same problem. Turns out they figured out that if he torqued his stock bolts to 65 inlbs it would cause the problem. If he only torqued them to 45 it would fire just fine.

My personal SPR never did that, but it was the 300 WSM.

Anyway, just something to try.

Retorqued to 45# and no fire.
Agree with first poster that it is most likely a headspace issue.
Guess they will be for the Cetme.
