from a friend regarding the impeachment and a few other political comment and observations:

Joe Biden a political threat to President Trump – are you serious?
This entire impeachment charade revolves around one innocent phone call by President Donald Trump and a casual remark to the president of Ukraine about investigating one Hunter Biden who was intimately involved with identified corruption agents. With more than 20 Democrat presidential candidates jumping out of the starting gate, it's incomprehensible that anyone could construe Trump was, by his actions, taking Joe Biden seriously as a political foe for the 2020 election. Joe Biden a threat to Trump? Are you serious? Biden has problems being coherent while he's reading the newspaper. It all boils down to Democrats condemning Trump for abuse of power because he questioned whether a former Vice President abused his power.

Witnesses and documents – in the Senate trial?
As is their propensity, Democrats border on being dense about most matters that matter most. Take the House. They impeached the President based on the evidence presented.

That's the evidence that should be presented to the Senate – no more, no less. Take the senate. They now become the Jury. How do trials work? Prosecutors present their case, which includes all the evidence they have gathered, to a jury. The defense is given the opportunity for rebuttal. The case then goes before the jurors for a decision of guilty or not guilty. Never has a jury been expected or asked to call more witnesses on their own or have more documents brought in. That's not the way our justice system works. Democrats don't understand that. They want the Senate jury to call additional witnesses and bring in more documents. That's not the jury's responsibility. Democrats, you need to posthaste learn juries are never in charge of a trial. Knowing they don't have a case, Democrats are running scared, grasping at straws.

    Innocent or guilty?
“Donald Trump hasn't even tried to prove his innocence”. “Trump can't prove his innocence because he's guilty”. Trump has his opportunity to prove his innocence during the Senate trial”. How often have we heard these words dripping off the tongues of Democrats? Far too many. How often have we heard these words emanating from Republicans? Never. That's because Republicans know in our country the judicial system is based on a person being innocent until proven guilty, not the opposite. This is the matter that matters most of which Democrats are clueless. As we have heard incessantly, this is a charade. Those making such a statement should also remind everyone the charade is being played out by evil, hateful, spiteful people with the moniker of Democrat. Just ask Judge Kavanaugh.

    Impartial justice ?
Bernie Sanders, Pocahontas Warren, Amy Klobuchar and Michael Bennet are Democrat Senators running for President. For a year now, we have heard the following statements from them: “Our primary goal is to get rid of Trump; we cannot afford to allow Trump to be elected in 2020; Trump is guilty as hell; Trump is an illegitimate president; we can't trust the American people to do the right thing in November”. Enter Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts, into the fray. His first duty was to swear in the Jury consisting of 100 jurors. They were asked to take an oath to carry out impartial justice. All 100 Senators took the oath including the four candidates. They even made a big show of parading in front of their fellow Senators to sign the oath book. They shouldn't have. How can anyone in America believe those four can mete out impartial justice after all the nefarious statements they are on record as saying?

    Brilliant defense
Democrats and their media cronies are pointing out that Trump's legal team is failing to address the two articles of impeachment handed to the Senate by the House. For the most part that is true. We've been told ad infinitum the two articles are abuse of power and obstruction of of Congress. Both of them are high crimes and misdemeanors according to Democrats. Digging deep into the Constitutionality of these two articles, they don't rise to the seriousness of when Warren perpetuated the lie she is native American. That's why Trump's team's defense is brilliant. They are not fixated on addressing the articles of impeachment, but instead are attacking the process rather than the substance (evidence) because there is no substance. This is an excellent ploy by Trump's team to not dignify Democrat's machinations.

    Do what is right
Many times Adam Schiff has proclaimed “We can't trust this President to do what is right for this country”. What IS right? We can't describe the complete litany of what Trump has accomplished in three short years because it would take too many pages. A very few highlights are: two strict constructionists appointed to the Supreme Court, American embassy moved to Jerusalem, trade deal with China, wall construction moving forward and an economy by any measure the best in history, benefiting every segment of our society. Do what is right? Yes, Adam, Donald Trump has accomplished more for our country than many of the previous presidents combined. He did and is doing what is right for this country. You are completely wrong.

    Alan Dershowitz lashes out
This guy is a Democrat, supported Hillary, voted for Obama and campaigned hard against Trump. He is a recognized expert on Constitutional law and was the youngest professor of law at Harvard University in its history. But wait a minute. He's one of the most vociferous defenders of Trump. He condemns Democrats by lashing out and stating “I strongly oppose the impeachment. I worry about the weaponization of impeachment and it could be used in other cases...I join Alexander Hamilton who said the greatest danger is when impeachment turns on the number of votes each party can get. So I'm there to try to defend the integrity of the Constitution.” In plain language, impeachment requires a high crime or misdemeanor (lessor crime). Dershowirz says “abuse of power and obstruction of Congress are neither crimes nor criminal-like behavior”.

    The bottom line
Dershowitz is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable Constitutional lawyers in America. Dershowitz has spoken. When Dershowitz speaks, America, especially Democrats, need to listen.
