Got a shield on black Friday with 4 mags for 275. Shoots great for what it is, shoots tight little bug holes that are about an inch left, good elevation at around 10-15 feet. Here is a pic, put the slide in a vice protected with cardboard, tried with a hammer, aluminum punch and some old debit cards cut up to protect from marring to move it a Lil left, won't budge. I mean it's a not a big deal for the guns purpose but it bugs me that the sight is visibly off center. I can hit everything small if I aim at the right edge. Pretty damn sure it's not my trigger finger. Here's a pic you can see that's its not centered. I don't want to replace the sights, I like these also would rather not spend a bunch of cash on a sight pusher. Any ideas?

Engineering 101: if a hammer cant fix it, use a bigger hammer

hit it harder...personally i take those cheapo brass cleaning rods and cut them into 4" sections, and use those to drift sights, theyll bend before you do any damage to steel.

hit it harder
Lol I'm scared. I hit it with some liquid wrench, kind of hard to get everything lined up using the plastic to keep it from marring. Maybe tape small piece of cut up credit card to the side of the sight? I don't care if the gun has some nice wear marks but don't want to put a big idiot gash in it right of the bat.

ditch the credit cards.....not necessary.

if you want you can put some tape on the punch.

just place the punch on the dovetail, and give it a nice solid smack....you dont have to go full gorilla......but they are put in there with enough tension that they dont move, so theyll take some motivation to move them.

Good call on the cleaning rods, couldn't find a brass punches anywhere locally, might need to invest in a gunsmithing kit at some point but I feel like this should be definitely doable. I went from a small tack hammer to a regular nail claw hammer. I guess I'll just keep going, can't tell maybe it moved a thousandth or two from what I did today.

i usually take a piece of masking or painters tape, and mark the location of the sight on the frame before i start to drift it.....that way i have an approximate idea of how much ive moved them.

Shield front sights don’t like to move easily. I replaced my OEM sights with Trijicon HD’s a while back. After I got done trying to sneak the front sight out of the dovetail and failing, I grabbed a steel punch and a 24 oz ball-pein and accomplished what I set out to do.
The old sight went in the scrap bin and the new sights went in without any fuss.

TL, DR: the sights have some press fit to them, it will take some effort to move them without buggering them up.

Double edged sword. You need a tight dovetail to keep the front sight from moving....then when you want it to move it is tough.

The Shield's are great little guns.
