Interested to see if anyone has any opinions and range reports on the Shilen match grade barrels. I'm looking to order a barrel for my .284 or 6.5 creedmoor build and I see midwayusa has shilen blanks real cheap. Here's what I was looking at

Or

Honest opinions please, I have thick skin. Should I stop looking to cut corners and just get the select match?

A while back I decided to build an inexpensive .284. Had a long action Savage, got a $200 Choate tactical and a Select match Shilen. Well this tuned out to be a highly accurate long distance gun. Consistent hits out to 1650 yds.
Highly recommend the select match barrel.

Pinzmann, what barrel did you get for your .284? Was it off of midway finishing at 26"?

Ghostface, you talking about match or select match? I know the select match are good but im curious to see if the $175 match barrel blanks shoots. Theyre two different barrels. But thank you guys for responding.
