Rifle Scopes Shipping a Scope to NZ

Where can I find regulations on shipping a scope to New Zealand? I did a quick internet search to no avail. I seem to remember that they are restricted for international shipment. I have someone interested in my NF first focal plane NXS and need to know before we can make a deal. Thanks.

This may be of no help but I live in Australia, I have purchased just about all my scopes from the US, never been a problem so long as the scope comes with a receipt or declaration stating the value including shipping to be less than AU$1000

words like "sporting optics" as apposed to "military sniper scope" might help...

This may just be an old wives tale, but isn't there something about not being legal to ship anything over seas that has an NSN number?

I don't know if your scope has one but that might be something to look at.
