Undecided yet if I'm going to go 20-24" 556 with a 1:7 twist reloaded over 75 grains or if I'm going with a 20-24" 6.5 grendel (I have rifles in both just have to buy a barrel)

I'm thinking of building a lower for such a purpose. A lot of local shooters are very good (many go and place at perry every year) they don't seem to shoot ars, and when they do cost isn't really the top of their concerns list.

So, bang for the buck whats my best trigger groups going to be. And which stock would you guys suggest for shooting that far, or does it not matter and my magpul acs is sufficient.

I know some people go with 1.5 lb triggers, but I've never shot a lighter trigger than that, this is going to be a range only lower so not bothered by going lighter at all. Suggestions?

Personally I really like the Magpul UBR for any precision based ARs. As far as triggers go, I've tried quite a few, and thus far the Geissele SD-E 2stage trigger is easily my favorite for precision use.

The rifle below is equipped with the UBR stock and SD-E trigger. It rarely gets shot at anything less than 600yds.

I will back up Trident on the SD-E. For me, and I speak for me... the flat trigger shoe / bow... makes the world of difference on my precision AR rifles. The SSA-E is essentially the same trigger, but it has a traditional curved trigger shoe / bow. (I have heard that part of the trigger called both, so I include both names). The SD-E / SSA-E are both non-adjustable... but, are plenty smooth for a precision rifle. They make a Designated Marksman trigger, and a National Match trigger, both are adjustable...

Geissele Automatics makes the finest two stage AR trigger in the industry, in my own opinion. I too, have used many. If you are not used to a two stage trigger, it will take a bit of dry fire to learn, but it is an easy transition. I warn you though... once you shoot a GA trigger, nothing else feels the same. The one trigger I have not tried is the American Trigger Company "Gold" trigger. It is endorsed by Jerry Mickulek and I have heard it is amazing... but, I own many Geissele Automatics triggers, and they are my trigger of choice.

Best of luck with your trigger choice...
