I'm Thinking about building a short (8.5-9) suppressed 300 Blackout. Match accuracy is not a huge issue since it will be such a short barrel. Are there any decently priced short barrels for the 300 blackout or are AAC and Noveske the only ones out there?

Are you talking about permanently attaching the suppressor to barrel? Otherwise you would still have and SBR whether it was under a FF tube or not.

I believe what he is thinking of is a shroud that covers the suppressor and keeps the length at greater than 16". You can't have a 16" handguard and call it good, it must be permanently attached to the barrel. I've seen pictures of what is essentially a hollow tube with an inside diameter just bigger than the suppressor permanently attached, i.e. a 6" hollow tube attached to a 10" barrel, bringing the length to 16". I don't know of any manufactures making something like that though, I believe it would be a custom proposition.
