What is the shortest barrel anyone has gone on a 6.5 creedmore? What velocities are u getting? Gas gun or bolt gun?

cjgemm here on the hide has a 18.5" barreled creedmor bolt gun and was getting 2640 fps with factory hornady 140 amax loads.

Anyone else running one? I am going to cut and thread mine. I would hate to cut it to short. I am between 18 and 20

I can try to help you next week. My GAP10 is finished and will be shipped to my ffl. I will have to wait until he gets back from shot show. I ordered mine with a 20". I have factory 120s & 140s. I will try to chrono it for you next week.

I've got one of the 09' SnipersHide builds with an 18.5'' barrel. It will push the 140's at 2700 or the 123's at 2825.

GOT A 22 IN THAT PUSHES 140 AMAX FACTORY AT 2725 FPS.

Factory 140 loadings or reloads?

Rock creek 23" tube, factory 140gr Amax loads, 2820-2845fps.

Fired 5 rounds through chrono that was 15' ahead of me.

Headspace is very tight, about Go+.0005





On the box they claim 2710fps from a 24" tube.
