Got a friend who just built a new rifle... he was fire forming brass on a 300 Norma Mag AI and had several short or light primer strikes. Anyone out there knows what could caused that and what can he fo to correct the problem? Thanks!

If it is a small percentage, point it back down range, put the rounds back in and pull the trigger. If the go bang the primers are not fully seated.
I have the same problem with a 223ai in a 700 action using cci450s. Tried 3 different firing pin assemblies.
- Too much head space
- Not enough firing pin protrusion (some are adjustable, not sure about Lone Peak)
- Too light of a firing pin spring
- Primers not fully seated
- Primers seated too far (usually in conjunction with short protrusion)
Those are the ones I have run into over the years.
