6.5-284 how hard is it to extend the throat ?

Run a throating reamer down the barrel. 1000 ways to skin the cat-- can pull the barrel or make/buy a tool that allows you to do it through the action with everything installed. I've seen it done in someone's driveway before going to the range... lol

It's easy for someone with a throating reamer and a little know how.

Shoot it long enough and it'll extend itself!

If you can drop the barrel with a gunsmith I'd imagine it's a quick job with a throat reamer.

How can you measure it so you don't get to deep? I here some guys prefer .188 overbore

I deep throated a 223 AI with a throating reamer by hand, in my garage. It shot better than I did so I must have done a decent job. Not something I'd do again because I prefer a shorter throat. Shoot it long enough and you'll end up needing to load longer than mag length to be near the lands.

My buddy has a throat reamer and With a little research I found the hornady measuring tools and how too videos . I think we will do this I'll keep you posted
