The only blue part of VA :(
what are the stocks filled with in the buttstock area?

it looks to me as if the decellerator pad is glued on to a black composite plate that is attached to the stock.

is it possible to remove these and shorten the LOP or add in an adjustable aluminum spacer system? I'm wondering if the stock is filled with a foam or what, doesnt sound like solid fiberglass fill....

any idea how thick the fiberglass mat shell is?

thanks!

The fiberglass shell at the butt of the stock is roughly .030" to .040" thick. There is always about 2" of fiberglass at the butt of each stock that we epoxy the recoil pads on to. There rest of the butt is filled with dense foam on hunting stocks and all fiberglass on most tactical stocks except the HTG and A3.
