Does anyone have a shorter barreled 6.5x55 gun? I'm specifically curious if the cartridge will perform in that short of a space and if anyone would share loads they're using I would appreciate that to use as a starting point. I would also like to see pics/descriptions of groups if possible.
I just got a Kimber done M96 from back in mid 90's and it shoots fair with factory ammo but the barrel is ~20" and since it's already short I'm thinking of cutting it off to about 18" and threading it. Using it as a learning the lathe gun as it was hella cheap.
