Gunsmithing Shotgun forend woodwork

Looking for someone that can do some repair work on a forend of a Beretta silver pigeon II. Forend got hit with clay pigeon and broke peice off and cracked. Is there anyone with some woodworking talents that can peice it back together and make it look like it never happened. I'm one for new projects, however all the other wood working projects I have taken on have turned out to be a disaster and this is one I do care about having done correctly.

I'll consider it if you can't find anyone else. It will be a while before I can get to it. You might try Dave Wolfe in Waco if he's still going. He's pricey but does good work.

Ill try and run him down. Does this look like a difficult repair? Ive considered replacing it but matching the color and finish seems to be a bit difficult and probably would have to replace the butt stock as well as far as I can tell.

No sense in replacing both pieces. The only difficulty is the satin finish. Stain is dark enough it will be easy enough to cover. Blending the finish is a challenge but I've had pretty good results.

With that dark a stain, a decent woodworker should be able to do an epoxy repair with Brownells walnut epoxy dye blended with some lampblack. Surprised that such a high price gun has such a grain hiding stain in the finish. Looks like some nice fiddleback grain in there, somewhere....Did this happen at Station 8? Kill or be killed at that Skeet station.

I would have almost rather the pigeon hit my hand. Might of bled and been soar for a week or so rather then shedding all these tears for my poor gun. Automatic clay thrower somehow ended up holding on to and throwing broken clay backwards and hitting the shotgun while I was waiting for my wife to shoot. Now thats some luck...
