Rifle Scopes should I put a CDS on Mark 4 8.5-26?

Re: should I put a CDS on Mark 4 8.5-26?

If you only intend to shoot under one set of conditions, the CDS may work but it will not be accurate all the time. You would eventually have to dial using the scopes regular adjustments which could be difficult with the CDS in place. Now if all you want is to get roughly on target and hold off for the shot, that might work slightly better.

I see your point. This is my first long range set up. I have shot at up up 600 yards with a 4.5-14 leupolds. This thing can go much further. I would be boxing myself in with the CDS. I have always used boone & crockett for shooting long. Adjusting with the turret for different distances is new to me.
Thanks for pointing that out!
