Should I Upgrade firing pin/spring for FN A5M?

Re: Should I Upgrade firing pin/spring for FN A5M?

The only available upgrade I know of is the Tubbs speedlock, which is about $70, plus the $50 cocking piece.

The OEM firing pin weights 900gr, and the tubbs weighs 600gr, which does provide a locktime improvement for sure.

But... Fitting the cocking piece, and maintaing full/proper safety functionality isn't that easy, plus the instructions were crap. They basically assume you are a Win70 smith, and already know how to do it.

Unless you are shooting a lot of positional shooting, the decreased lock time does not mean squat.
