Has anyone ever used their comparitor inserts to measure shoulder bump?

This is on 224 Valkyrie... I wanted you guys to Let me know if I were to use one of these which one would I use.. the 10-35 seems to sit in the exact spot my Hornady bushing sits on my 6.5 CM

Let me know what you think.. and don't trash me too hard for being a cheap ass

The valk shoulder goes from .403 to .256, .350 is close-ish to the middle.

I would still probably go with the actual shoulder bushing B-.350 insert since its only like 7 bucks, throw it in the cart next time you order something else.

Not sure how the angles would differ between the bullet and shoulder inserts, the bullet may be shallower than the shoulder angle/bevel so maybe it wont be as consistent in its measurements? Testing will tell.

It won't matter which one you use provided it is large enough to make it to the shoulder. Some guys have even used a case from a 9mm.
