I purchased a large lot of Palma bullets hoping to load them up in bulk for my AR10. They don't seem to like the jump from mag length, or the 1:10 twist. Anyone here load any of these? Can you make them jump?
By the way I have them up for trade for something heavier in the for trade section.

If you mean 2156 rather than 6156, then both of my 208's preferred a rather large jump....like .05 or more. All shot lights out, especially @2900 fps-ish. What speed are you running them?

Did you mean: 308's

LOL, typo after typo. Just busting your chops.

Re: Sierra 155smk's 6156 Palma

I shoot 155s and have very good luck. There's no way to shoot them without a big jump I think these (pics) are with .200+ jump off memory. I would trade with you for some I have a box of 168 Noslers and around 500 168 AMAXs

Re: Sierra 155smk's 6156 Palma

I have several rifles the 2156 shoots well in. My 308 gas gun is not one of them. 18" 12 twist Krieger with an Obermeyer chamber.

Trade 'em off for 175s and move on. They will serve you very well.

Re: Sierra 155smk's 6156 Palma

Thanks for the comments. Sorry for the typo, I did mean 2156's. I have tried them with up to 46.5 gr of 4985 IMR, but they still were only about 2MOA. I have not chronoed them, but a 20" gas gun will be hard pressed to get to 2900. I did shoot them to 1K yards, still about 2MOA.
I am open to offers and suggestion.
Thanks-Rob

Re: Sierra 155smk's 6156 Palma

I sent you a trade offer.

My load for the 2156 is:

Win brass
moly-coated 2156 155SMK
Varget 47.0
CCI 200
COAL 2.805
light crimp - lee factory crimp die

This is a solid 1/2MOA load from a Steyr SBS tactical at 2925fps. There's another node a little higher but my velocity is good so no need to push it too hard. And they feed from my 10 round magazine.

Re: Sierra 155smk's 6156 Palma

Thanks for the load. I am switching from 168s and I will try target at 47 grains
