So I put a friend onto one of these here in NZ, he originally wanted an Eliminator rangefinding scope, but i talked him into it and he eventually bought the BDX but got undersold by a local dealer ,not being any the wiser he bought the 10x scope when I was expecting him to buy the 15x for $500 extra The system itself worked well, scope was OK but the range finder blew me away with its speed and accuracy . Beginning of October here in New Zealand up in the high country is still bloody cold , a dusting of snow and a good frost and being a new "toy" it got its buttons pushed alot ,I dont recall it ever having to "acclimate" from a toasty warm hut to a frosty first light stint on the hill. Hope that helps
