Suppressors Sig Carry

Re: Sig Carry

I am lusting for a P220 Compact SAS, as I really like my P220R and P220SAS. As I understand it, the carry is a full size grip frame, with a shorter barrel, while the compact has the shorter barrel, and a shorter, 6 round magazine.

I also would like to hear any reports on the compact 220.

Re: Sig Carry

The grip frame on the "Compact" looked way short. Curious to hear from folks who might have shot one. The "Carry" looked more "Commanderish" in terms of being able to moderate muzzle flip. Can't find any shops in the area that have one in stock.

Re: Sig Carry

I have had a 220 carry for about 6 mths now and love it, I bought it for my carry gun. The grip is full size, carries 8+1, night sites. The first 250 rds through it though, I did have a few jams until it got fully broke in and now I am about 1500 rds in it, and it has eaten anything and everything I have put through it, and very accuratly, from Ranger Ts, to handloaded lead roundnoses, to wolf ammo (although the ol on the wolf is just slightly to long for the mag). The trigger on it, is what a carry gun should be about 4 lbs for sa and not sure about the da because I always cock the hammer. It has enough play in it so that you are no way going to accidently shoot someone/thing you dont want to. Make no mistake its not a race horse it a work horse, if you want a super fine sensitive trigger, this isnt it. I bought it for that reason though, had narrowed it down between a Kimber ulta covert?, and this pistol, for a carry gun, the kimbers trigger was just to fine, and was worried if i ever had to draw my gun that i wanted it to go bang only when i wanted it to, and not because of adrenaline and nerves and was scared that might happen with the Kimber (nothing at all against Kimbers, I am saving up for one, but just not as a carry gun).

Any more questions feel free to pm me.

Re: Sig Carry

I've been carrying Sigs for years. In the combat units I was in we were lucky enough to freelance and carry what we wanted to. Now in more of an investigative position I still prefer Sigs, my favorites have always been a regular P220 (no rail) and the P245. I have no trouble carrying either concealed with fairly large hands no trouble with the P245 grip.

I became a Sig Fan about 6 months ago when I bought my P220, as you might guess, I love it. I had cash in hand to go buy the P220 Compact and found that the grip is way too small, and I have a little d.... or uh small hands.

Put your mitts on it and shoot it if possible before buying one.
