Can a DAK trigger in a Sig 226 be converted to a traditional DA/SA? A friend of mine has a used 226Rit with the DAK trigger for a damn good price i just dont like the trigger.
I'm pretty sure the tactical guys on my job had their issue DAKS converted to DA/SA. The exterior of the frame looked like it was all set up for the decocker. Give Sig a email.
We regular troopies had to keep our DAKS as issued. We have since moved on to S&W M&P's and the tactical guys have S&W 1911's.
I am not a fan of the DAK trigger either. SIg tried to follow what Glock and S&W had that worked and it came up short. If you do go DA/SA beware of the atrocious DA pull on the Sig as well.
Its not a bad trigger given enough use to wear in and you start pulling it fifteen minutes before you need the bullet to be there.
Its a great gun for big agencies more concerned about liability than spending money to train. I'd be interested to know how much Sig was thinking DHS when they were putting it together.
