Been hearing this is a great under 500 dollar rangefinder for ranging animals under 1000 yards input wanted.

Yes. It flat works. Sig has been the goto for LRF. There have been some new offerings that are now in the same market.

But its also quite a hit and mis affair , variation from unit to unit is huge ,some work ok some not even close in the end its unfortunately luck of the draw that plays a big role in what you get .
