Suppressors SIG SAUER Blackwater 1911 , any opions

Re: SIG SAUER Blackwater 1911 , any opions

The Sig 1911s are decent guns. I have some trigger time on several variants and they seem to be reliable and accurate. They also use higher quality internal parts(barstock, not MIM) than some of their competitors. The major downside with these guns, and the reason I've never personally owned one, is their unique slide profile prevents one from using most standard 1911 holsters.

Irrespective of function, I'd have a hard time getting used to a 1911 with an external extractor. It's a tad difficult to figure why the original configuration needed fussing with.

I like P-series Sig 9mm pistols. For 1911's, there are makers that come to mind a bit earlier in the search and I'm guessing that little blackwater logo adds a premium to the price of a 1911 from a company not exactly known for their 1911 model pistols.

to me a 1911 with a external extractor just doesnt look right not saying that the sig models arent nice i am sure they are top of the line but i wouldnt be able to get past the look. if you want a really nice 1911 i fiddled with a kimber SIS and everything on it was thought out very well

+1, stay the hell away from an out of spec 1911 with an external extractor.

And those fags at Blackwater were some of the biggest Katrina gun takers, one of them even addmitted it to my face, don't buy anything with Blackwater on it, ever!

Re: SIG SAUER Blackwater 1911 , any opions

Nice rig, my recommendation - save a hundred bucks or so and get a full size Sig GSR Nitron or a commander size Carry variant.

I am happy with the two Sig 1911s (full size and carry) I have -fit, finish, function and accuracy out of the box are top notch.

The story behind the development of Sig's 1911 product and mfg is interesting - google if you get a chance.

Tell that to my Kimbers.
