Are the Big sky s2s worth the premium over the standard s2s? What is the overall thoughts on these?I have used the s3s and like them alot but a friend is a casual hunter and needs a good sub $400 scope for an 30-06.

The Big Sky SII glass is very clear. It's hard tell a difference when SXS a SIII. I don't like the turrets on the BS SII. On some they packed 20 moa one revolution on small turrets. The clicks are very close together and not audible & sharp. It's very easy to over or under dial.
Excellent glass for the money.

Thanks this will just be a hunting 3-9 he wont be doing any turret cranking.

Go for it I own the BS II for hunting and it is incredible for the money...plus the lifetime replacement no fault warranty is unbeatable.
