Have been reading some of the issues you guys have around silencer/ moderators all we have to do in the UK is put them on the FAC application and we usually get it granted sounds stupid when hand gun and semi auto ownership is so tightly controlled don't make no sense to me

Its the same process to buy a silencer as a machine gun here go figure.
But I can go into any store and purchase pretty much any other firearm over the counter I want as long as it satisfies restrictions in a law from 1934.

It makes no sense to anyone. Save perhaps the clerks employed to keep the paperwork.
