Suppressors Silencer Central

I paid and started the approval process on one of their Banish 30 suppressors in early Sept 2019. It took them a couple weeks to get the paperwork mailed to ATF, which was a little frustrating [the wait time is long enough without adding further delay]. They mail the can to my home address when the stamp clears, which will be nice by saving me a trip to a dealer to pick up. Their products are made by Mack Brothers out of Sturgis, SD which has a top-rate reputation for quality.

I'm not that impressed with them myself. Sent a barreled action to have the bbl threaded early last year. Was quick turnaround. But they emailed me that the bbl was done...that was it. No shipping notice. Showed up 2 days later, found it laying half on/off my front porch. Don't know how long it had laid there in the open in plain sight of everyone. But, I went back, ordered a suppressor from them mid/late Oct. Claimed they had a shipment coming in any day. Kept claiming that every time I talked to them (until they started putting me on hold...and walked away from the phone) until the middle of January when I finally got a serial number. Found out they were in "negotiations" with Elite Iron until then. So, add another 3 months on to a long enough wait!

just this morning I got a status update email from Jana at Silencer Central; initially it got my hopes up thinking that my stamp had been approved and my suppressor was in the mail, but not to be. It was just to let me know the status quo prevails. I just did the math and its been 6 months since SC sent my paperwork to ATF -- so that must have been the trigger for the email update.

I have the Varminter (Banish) 223 and a Banish 30. I see no reason to look at any other brand unless I wanted something they do not make, which is unlikely. The 30 took less than 5 months from the time I called with the order until they had mailed it. Very high quality stuff.

We apologize for not notifying you via email as we do sent tracking when we ship out guns and cans. We appreciate your business.

I use a Banish 30 and have a 223 on order.

The cans are made by the Mack Bros in SD. they seem very nicely made. I appreciate the fact that I can clean them easily myself, and can use them on rimfire as well. I like the interchangeable endcaps on the 30, if they still offer them.

If you’re buying a Banish, they’re awesome to deal with. If you’re wanting them to track down a different company’s can so it can be added to your free NFA trust they offer, not so much.

But, this was a while ago, so maybe their customer service has changed. If they were like Silencer Shop and had a ton of other manuf cans in stock and eagerly sold whatever you wanted and managed your free trust, holy shit they’d clean up.

Their barrel threading seems top-notch. Smooooooth. I’ve had a bunch of guns threaded by them, and know others that have too.

Afterwards, I was in a hurry and I stupidly used a local gunsmith for two threading jobs and the threads were so rough and dirty that when I cleaned them with some toilet paper, the threads tore the tp and it was all over the end of my barrel. 👀 😡

And yeah, I clean my guns in the bathroom. Whilst on the toilet.

Totally nude.

They are still D bags if you want something else. I tried to buy a TBAC through them. Basically I was an idiot because I wanted an inferior product to the Banish according to them.
