I am in the process of buying a NIB Vanguard® SUB-MOA Varmint .22-250 which has barrel length of 22". I would like to have the option of adding a silencer at some point out in the future once I get my stamp. I can have a factory installed Weatherby Accubrake installed for $168. My questions pertain to:
1) Would it be worth having it done, or would a gunsmith be less expensive?
2) Will the location of the factory threading work for a silencer if the can threading matches the barrel threads?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated

I wouldnt bother with the factory brake if you're considering a suppressor, you can get quality gun smith threads done for $50-$100. Unless you have a need for an Accubrake, it's just going to be sitting around, or you're going to be selling it for a loss.
