I’m trying to figure out the thread specs for the front cap of a SiCo Omega, i.e. the front “flat” cap or anchor brake.

Trying to convince myself it’s not M36x1, despite conflicting info on the internet.

@HansohnBrothers says 1.40x24, but that doesn’t make sense to me because the physical major diameter is 1.4125” and the physical minor diameter on the female portion of the suppressor is 1.376”. Another company that sells solvent trap kits says 1 27/64x24, which seems closer, but that would put the major diameter at 1.422”

I don’t have a set of pitch gages at the moment, but crude measurement taken with a caliper keep putting me at a finer pitch than 24 tpi.

    Any thoughts???

On the measurements I just took, I have 1.400 on the minor and 1.4175 for the major, thread pitch is definitely 24tpi.

    These help. Thread pitch gages.

I got a hold of a set of thread pitch gauges, and it definitely fits 24 tpi better than Metric-1.

Came across http://theoreticalmachinist.com/ which has a thread calculator. If I input 1.419x24-2A it aligns fairly well with the measurements I'm seeing online, assuming it's dead in the middle of the tolerance range. It looks like 1 27/64 x24 (1 27/64 = 1.422") is probably it.

External Threads (Anchor brake measures 1.412" major diameter):

Internal Threads (my Omega measures 1.376" minor diameter):

    @HansohnBrothers site now says:
    • Thread spec: 1.420×24 UN
I'm trying to figure this out myself - I purchased a titanium end cap from Hansohn Brothers but it didn't thread onto my new Omega 300. Hansohn sent me a replacement that they tried on their Omega 300 and confirmed fit, same result. I wonder if the specs on the Omega have changed.

We’ve been finding SilencerCo threads can vary to either extreme of the spec. Some SilencerCo are just too far out for our caps to fit. How tight is it getting? Does it come to a full stop or can you push through? Are you cleaning and lubricating the threads before screwing it in?

Happy to send you an RMA and full refund or send us your silencer and we will hand fit a cap for it, add $20 for return shipping.

Ended up getting the second one you sent to thread on after using some aeroshell grease and the sico wrench. The actual brake Sico originally shipped me with the suppressor has some wobble to it when threaded on unless it's totally bottomed out. I think the threads are a bit out of spec, but glad I was able to get your end cap on for the weight and length savings. Thank you!

Hansohn bros is awesome, I use them here in VA.

However, I'd like a flash hider end cap.
A flash hider end cap? You must mean a muzzle device?

Shouldn't have much flash to hide on the business end of your suppressor?
