Have had an Osprey on order for a bit. Have been hearing that Silencerco has been having some issues with the piston adaptor welding/seizing onto the barrel. Has anyone heard or seen this? Am now questioning if I still want to buy the Osprey.

Re: Silencerco Osprey 45

I have put my 45 Osprey through the ringer. It has seen use on several 45s, 40s, 9mms, and 2 .300blks. I have never had an issue with my cans getting "welded" to the barrel. It is a great can with a great reputation. If you have any problems at all with it, send it back to SCo and they will make sure that they are fixed in a timely fashion (less than 3 day turnaround).

Re: Silencerco Osprey 45

i haven't had an issue w/ my Osprey 45 stuck on a barrel. i've had an issue with it on my FNP Tactical, but SilencerCo's customer service has been nothing but amazing with me. i have both their products and AAC's and i would say the performance from cans from both companies are extremely close, but SilencerCo's customer service and the availability of their staff makes them stand apart and take the lead.

Re: Silencerco Osprey 45

I know people are using their ospreys for subsonic .300 blackout.

Anyone know if a .45 Osprey would be safe to use with .338 whisper?
