Night Vision Simplest mount system for nightcap & 14?

Finally got a night cap so I can get away from the skull crusher

What's currently the suggested route to go looking at a simplistic 14 set up on a nightcap?

Not super high speed low drag, or tactical Timmy here... Just hunting

Ops Shroud and Rhino mount you can find on FleaBay for cheap with the standard J-arm that you probably already have.

I use a totally low speed USGI rhino and j-arm ... (I got 2 j-arms ... took them apart and assembled one good one out of the parts )

wilcox 3 hole shroud ...

I was just looking at some cheap rhino mounts on another forum. That made that choice simple.

If you can find a rhino ii the extra adjustment and less wobble is worth the price increase.

I've also been told switching to the dovetail vs the bayonet when possible is a little better

Rhino 1 mount and another J arm seemed inexpensive enough that I won't mind throwing them away later if I upgrade.

Once I get a shroud now it should be plug and play with the rhino 2 anyway is my understanding...

I also use a "real" mount ... a norotos loSto and an IC bridge ... if in a "no wobble" frame of mind ... but they are heavier ...

I actually find the main weakness of the rhino/j-arm combo I use above the the screw that holds the 14 on ... I have to retighten it during the evening ...

All I have right now are a couple of the helmet type mounts...
