I'm in the market for a new priming tool. I've read the other threads, currently use an RCBS but occasionally I get pressure indentations on the primers. Don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I can't imagine it's a good variation to have in my loads.

Looking for a comparison between this priming tool and the sinclairs. Anyone have any experience with them?

    Thanks.

Can't help you with the primer tool but the website needs to be updated. I got all excited when I saw the Lee Classic Cast on sale for $66. That was the 2007 price. Burst my bubble.

I'm thinking about getting a sinclair priming tool, but I saw this one. I like that you can feed the primers in via tray and not have to load one at at time. But I've heard a lot of good things about the sinclairs tool I just wasn't sure which one to buy.

I have both and they are both great the 21 century is the best of the try fed and gives great feel compared to a lee or other but in my opinion I use the Sinclair or my precision stuff it is much more solid but again both are good. The 21 century I use for less accurate more production stuff and for fire forming loads etc so they both serve a purpose as the Sinclair is much slower tu use

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the sinclair right now. I've never had anything from them I didn't like. I just wish they had some in stock. I missed the sale they had last month...

Frogman77 do you get indentations from overly clean or tight pockets?

If so, you could try just rubbing the primer pockets with a brush that has ben lightly dipped in graphite powder. For example, Imperial dry neck lube.

When i get primers that are difficult to go in, i just dip a fine paint brush into the powder, brush off any excess and just rub the insides of the pockets quickly. Primers go in like they lubed!

Re: 21st century shooting hand priming tool??

I don't think the pockets are too tight..I think it's me not being able to feel the bottom of the pocket with the rcbs tool that I have and I'm crushing the primer to the side a little.

For bulk, and pistol loads, the rcbs is fast and does just fine..

But I think I'd like something a little more refined for my precision rounds, thus the sinclair or the 21st century one... I'll probably end up going with the sinclair. I like the fact that it locks the case head and keeps it square while the primer gets seated.
