This is a bit of a stupid question, more of a clarification than anything: Is there any difference in seating dies for different cartridges within a given caliber? For example, if I went to the Forster website and ordered a 6.5 Grendel Ultra Micrometer Seating Die, would it be any different than if I ordered a 260 Rem or a 6.5 Creedmoor?

Yes. The Ultra die supports the case inside to keep it perfectly aligned with the bullet as it is being seated. Thus, the inside of the die is case-specific.

Hmm, in that case, is there a way to use such a die with a wildcat? Specifically, I'm looking at doing 6.5 SLR. Would the 6.5 Creedmoor die work since it has the same shoulder angle? Or would the longer neck of the SLR mess it up?
