I received 500 pcs. of "once-fired" brass from Everglades. I have the firing pin and ejector out of the rifle(Remmington 700) and have my FL sizinf die set so that the bolt handle just closes with zero resistance. I lube and start sizing, checking every case with the Sheridan Slotted gauge. Some of the cases drop righ into the gauge and some have had the case head flattened somewhat so that the body of the case will size correctly, but the case head will not allow the case to drop into the gauge. I'm suspecting that a large portion of these cases were loaded really hot for fired through a weapon with headspace you could drive a truck through. Some of the ones with flattened heads will chamber in my rifle, bit I feel a slight bit od resistance, some won't even allow me to close the bolt. Those with flattened heads all go in the scrap bucket. Am I being anal about the case heas being flattened
