SK Pistol Match special

I bought a case of this to see if it would work in Rifle. It was $6.50 a box so I figured it was worth a shot "pun intended". So far I have been pleasantly surprised. It has shot pretty well so far and I got some magnetospeed on it today. Rifle is a Rim-X with a Straight Jacket Armory 18" 1:14 twist.
3 strings:
20 round, 1111 fps avg, 1126 hi, 1098 low, SD 7, ES 28

10 round, 1109 fps avg, 1119 hi, 1098 low, SD 6, ES 21

10 round, 1114 fps avg, 1127 hi, 1100 low, SD 7, ES 27

Gonna try it out at distance tomorrow

(5 shot groups)Top 4 groups shot at match speed, bottom left slow.

I've heard good things about PM Special, but haven't tried it yet. Regular PM has better consistency out of my Vudoo than the brick of RM I got a while back. That brick of RM wasn't as good out of my 10/22T or RART compared to CCI-SV either. I want to try some PM Special.

It's always shot good for me. At $6.50 vs $10/box for LRM, it's a great practice ammo and should be the same speed.

The last two times I bought PMS it wasn’t any good. This last brick I got shot pretty well so I ordered a few more while it was still in stock.I can’t wait to shoot a 300 yard 6x5 with it to see how it does at distance.

I also had PMS that shot very steady but even all of it is the same lot, when I shot it about a year later, there were some boxes that could not hit at long range at all. Did not have a chrono to see if it was MV but I had terrible pattern at 300m, mostly all seemed to go vertical. I am going to include some in my next lot testing also.

It isn't going to make the cut at distance...I haven’t changed my tuner yet but I'm skeptical that will make it anything more than practice ammo. Got 2 matches this weekend so I'm not messing with the tuner.

I bought a brick a while back just to see. I didn't get great results. Will be fine for the pistol though.

Tested the SK PMs and SK Match with the Harrell's tuner @50 yards. The # is the tuner setting. The Match shot much better but not great. The PMs looks like practice ammo only. I was trying to find a replacement for the ammo I was using in matches (that I'm out of) SK Standard Plus that shot one hole groups all the time. Had some flyers with the Match ammo but the PMs was all over the place most of the time.
