I think I'm going to have to sell my M1A to pay some upcoming medical bills but I'm not sure what to ask. It was made in 1997 and has the following features.

Springfield Armory M1A full size rifle with USGI parts. Barrel is stamped NM ( National Match ). Trigger group is TRW and bolt is SA.

Bill Springfield trigger job. 10x Super Sniper fixed power scope with Mil-Dot reticle. Sun shade and Butler Creek flip up scope caps. Smith Enterprises US. Property marked scope mount with a set of ARMS Throw lever low rings. USGI green canvas sling.

Stock is a USGI M14 Vietnam issue woodland camo fiberglass with hinged buttplate and selector switch cutout.

One inch groups with Federal Gold match ammo at 100 yards. Low round count and condition rates an easy 99%.

Can anyone advise me with a fair price? I'm not looking to make much, mainly to just get back what I have into it. I was thinking around $2100.00. Does this sound about right?

Re: Sniper Type M1A Price Check

Check out Gunsamerica. That should give you a "feel" for prices.
FWIW: You will never get back what you put into it, NOT to be a smart ass, it's just a fact is all.
Respectfully,
LG

Re: Sniper Type M1A Price Check

With the USGI parts and all the accessories, that sounds like a fair price. Of course, that may be +/- depending on condition of the rifle, barrel, etc. Any provenance you have on the rifle will help justify the price too.

Re: Sniper Type M1A Price Check

Condition is like new with less then 1000 rounds fired.

Re: Sniper Type M1A Price Check

Look at gunbroker and gunsamerica they will give you a range by looking on there at other guns of equal modification / quality and then you based on that use your judgment to set a $$$ price..... Worse comes to worse you set a price and someone offers you less then you can respond with a yes or no
