Re: Sniping a Tank

NICE! Dragon? I'm only assuming dragon due to perceived age of the film. Or are we talking foreign?

Re: Sniping a Tank

Dam, that was like a firworks show..

Cool video..

Re: Sniping a Tank

Yeah Dragon is what I was thinking.

I shot one in alaska at 1500 yards, popped all the way down.
62 adjustor rockets aro und the ass end of it - interesting...

I wonder if that tank was live or being pulled...maybe bosnia or old afghan footage...

Re: Sniping a Tank

I have seen this video before and I think they said it was a Swedish Bill 2 Anti Armor missle, could be wrong though as it looks like it hits the tank straight on and not on top. All anti armor missles give me the creeps.

Re: Sniping a Tank

That is really quite frightening. Nothing more than a heavily armored coffin in that situation.

This is why I prefer walking as much as possible. </div></div>

That's why they issued us the Nomex suits, they should have given us ceramic dog tags also. I am sure the ol "Sagger Weave" would not be effective against one of these. The old Sherman tank was nicknamed "The Zippo" for a reason!

The Germans and Brits had a different AA system then the Dragon if I remember correctly. I did not hear the common firing of the directional motors that you hear on the dragon as it travels down range. Plus the Dragons signature is much bigger and it travels a bit slower from what I have seen.

Actually sorta YES...

I bought some 308 and 30-06 accelerators - watch that vid above on teh SABOt round.

The accelerator pops the plastic off and sends a naked 223 bullet down at 4400 fps, it out performs the 30-06 armor piercing round.

I might actually do a video test if I get my front sight fixed on my springfield.

Re: Sniping a Tank

Was that the ammunition in the tank creating a series of secondary explosions? Impressive results, regardless. Now I know why I prefer going very, very fast high above the ground, or just sneaking around on my own two feet.

Re: Sniping a Tank

I found another YouTube video with an additional view, The updated description at the bottom says that it is a RBS-56 BILL against a fully fueled and loaded Swedish Centurion.
