Im gonna be building my own.....still tossing around 18-20 inch options.

What is the best most accurate barrel option out there?

Im leaning towards Noveske. Ive always loved Noveske's barrels in my AR15's, I can imagine their AR-10 barrels are anything but tack drivers.

Ive looked at Rainier Arms and their Match .308 barrels. Theyre $150 less and Im ordering my upper/lower combo from them....going with the monolithic Mega MA-10 package. i figured one stop shopping is easier. I really like dealing with Rainier but im not familiar with their barrels......their site says they use Shilen blanks.

Any suggestions?

Well, I don't know if you're looking for a specific contour or not, but I bought a Krieger M110 and really like it. There's not a lot of risk going Krieger.

You said "best most accurate."

Call Kin at GA Precision. They'll sell you an AR-10 barrel they make from a Bartlein blank.

Not cheap, but as good as it gets.

Rainier gives a 90 day money back guarantee on their brand barrels however the only 308 one they have in stock is a 16" ultra match (would be my pick but you say 18-20 so...)

I have a fulton 16" stainless and for 250$ it shoots well MOA or better, same thing as their 18" model. They also offer a 20" M110 whatever profile model that has decent reviews although it looks too heavy to me.

I got the AR-10 bug awhile back. Best I could do with factory barrel was 1.25 MOA at 100 yards. That was with 2 months of reloading, and factory bullet tries. Bought a 21" Noveski, spent another 2 months and the best I did was 1.1. Frustrated I sold the whole deal and swore that the large frame AR was junk.

Last month my Bro in law traded for a bone stock 24" DPMS in 6.5 Creedmoor. That SOB shoots .4 with factory Hornday, and a .3 with one try at reloads. I had always considered DPMS to be bottom shelf until now.

If you are gonna go MA-Ten, maybe consider a factory DPMS barrel. Some times the bargain basement is a good deal.

The UltraMatch barrels from Rainier will do you right.
I have used several including DPMS based AR10 (18") in an Mega MA TEN Mono upper.
Do note they are a tight fit installing in the Mega Upper and you might have to use a little heat to get it in but it will go in. YMMV
All my UM barrels are great accurate shooters.
It is my fist choice in barrels.

You wouldn't have any pics of that 18 inch build you mentioned would you?

That's exactly what I was thinking of.

Thanks
