Looking to buy one and make it my new night hunting rig for hog/predators....
If I change the flash hider to a 51t aac flash hider or muzzle break will I have enough room to attach my 762sd? I am not in the country until this fall to actually put my hands on one is the reason I bring the question here.
Thanks guys

MLW332,
The SOCOMII uses the proprietary Springfield Armory 1 piece gas lock front sight and muzzle brake system. To use the 51T AAC you will have to change it out to the Smith Enterprises SOCOM II kit part number 2001V. This kit will allow you to use any muzzle brake you wish that is threaded for the 5/24" .308. This should allow you room for your 762SD, and the iron sights should be high enough to see over it.

Here is what it might look like:

Check out Delta P designs as well they make an adapter for the Socom and M14. I have one with the YM flash hider and I can also use my can.
