These are all recent acquisitions, but life tends to take weird turns sometimes, and well... I'm not immune to that, haha. Both of these were eagerly awaited on my end, and each are fantastic, hand-crafted tools that will surely serve for years and years. I just can't afford to keep them right now, so they're looking for new homes. Each is brand new, having been holstered a handful of times but never used to cut anything. If my situation changes such that I can keep these, you better believe they will be pulled ASAP, so act now while you still can!!! Both knives are from Allegheny Knife Works. I talked with Justin for a bit on both of these before buying them, and he's a stand-up guy who does amazing work, as these two blades show! I still plan to have him build me a custom Tanto soon as his work is very well done!
The M60 is a large knife. With a 6" blade made of 1095 at 60RC, this is one heck of a knife! OAL is 12", so it has a nice, long handle for those with large hands, or for the rest of us, it offers plenty of real estate to use a variety of grips to get things done. Below is the link to the original ad with photos, and a few poor photos I took. A very nicely done blade that will take care of you when you need it! I'm looking for $175 shipped and insured CONUS on this one.
AKW M60 Field Combat Knife
Next is the M25-XL, which is a sized-up version of the standard M25. Made of 0.125" D2 steel with a 5" cutting edge and about a 10.25" OAL, this one has a perfectly sized handle for me that fits like a glove! Light and handy, this one would be a real workhorse that will take a licking and keep on ticking. The D2 steel will allow it to take a very sharp and long-lasting working edge, while still giving you near-stainless rust protection (you do still need to take care of it, however). $170 shipped and insured CONUS gets this one to your door.
