Don’t be upset. I told him if he sells the rifle I’d take the dies two weeks ago. Thought maybe I’d get a heads up that they were for sale. Nope. Guess that’s a sign to order the Whidden dies.

That's not entirely true. Read your post above....that being said, of course I am going to let the buyer of the rifle have first dibs on the dies and brass. The buyer opted (just yesterday) to only purchase the seater die and brass. The Harrell's FL die is available. It's yours, if you are still interested.

Lots of butt hurt going on here...not sure I would have done anything differently than the OP, especially if the first PM didn't include the words "I'll take it". I've always abided by the first PUBLIC - "I'll take it" concept.

There wasn’t an “I’ll take it” that was not conditional. They said “I’ll take it pending PM”. Kinda puts them on the same field as the other PM.

He didn't sell the stock out from under you. I sent a pm very early this morning stating that I would take it. Then I commented in case he had not seen my pm. I can screen shot my pm if you need to see it. I actually started messaging last night.

First public "I'll Take It", and a prior private "I'll Take It". Pending nothing but the seller reading the prior PM! Not for less money or any haggling at all other than I'LL TAKE IT. There is nothing here to be butthurt over, period.

If you wanted it you should have posted "I'll take it".

It's very simple and there's nothing to enforce on purpose. I would not do business with anyone who didn't understand it. It keeps the lawyers out of the PX.

There was zero haggling in my pm that was sent when I posted publicly, before DTOM posted publicly. I was clarifying the dovetail and if any LOP spacers were included (as they are when one is bought new) - so I knew what I was buying or rather, attempting to buy.

Alls I’m saying is that I would have handled the situation much differently if I was the seller. It’s a free country, you do you.

Holy cow…..drop it, go away already. You didn’t post “I’ll take it” so you lost out. There are guys with no skin in the game chiming in to help you understand how the process works, and you refuse to get it. Use this energy to find another stock or a therapist.
