I have a factory 26” Sako TRG take-off barrel chambered in .308 win. Nearly a 1,000 rounds have been down the pipe. There is some pitting near the muzzle end. A gunsmith could cut the barrel back a little and it looks like the barrel would be restored back to its original glory.

This came off @jbell rifle. I purchased the Sako from from him a little while back planning to rebarrel. He got fantastic groups with his handloads as is (well under sub-moa). I shot it with factory FGMM and it didn ‘t seem to shoot as good as his handloads but banging steel at 900 yards was very easy and consistent.

$200 shipped.
That should leave you some room for your gunsmith to cut back if you decide to go that route. If you decide to shoot as is then you have a cheap factory replacement barrel with thousands of rounds of service life left.

This barrel should screw onto any TRG 22 action and headspace correctly. PVA offers shouldered pre-fits for the TRGs for comparison. I had three TRG rifles in two different calibers and have switched bolts between them all and they headspaced correctly verifying with go/no-go gauges. Of course its wise to verify for yourself before firing.

I’ll come down to $150 shipped for the barrel. Shoot it as is or cut it back to restore it. Just under $1000 rounds. Barrel should thread on and headspace to your Sako TRG action.
