This is the listing from previous seller. I have shot it maybe 30 times but I am selling off several optics to consolidate optics. The scope tracked great and glass was exactly what you would expect from a NF

Nightforce ATACR F1 5-25x56 with H59 reticle. This is an early "Made in USA" marked Nightforce ATACR F1 (first focal plane) scope with H59 reticle. It has a capped windage turret. It includes the sun shade, box, and paperwork. There is some wear on the high points of the turret edges and it has ring marks. This one has excellent glass. Compared to two Schmidt and Benders, this optic has a cooler color temperature but slightly better detail resolution. I am the third owner; overall very clean with no scratches on glass.

By capped, you mean you have to remove a cap to adjust for windage? I didn’t know these scopes even came that way.

Yeah the windage on all the atacrs 5-25 have a cap that covers the windage. You can also call Nightforce and they have a “beauty ring” to cover the threads and the turret is exposed

I bought the ATACR second focal plane and it had it! Soon as they came out! Reason iM asking is there was a guy on here several months ago that said same thing. I was interested in buying it and got him on phone and told him how to open battery on the turret. It did have illumination. He just didn’t know! Anyway, free bump for the scope!

Atacrs with a gold nf logo on the parallax side determines if its illumination or not. This one is black nf logo which means no illumination. I've got the same exact model and no its not illuminated and yes has either a beauty ring or solid cap for the windage side.
