Some people just can't be believed

I am a member of three different gun clubs in my area. Saw an email from one of them regarding .22 LR ammo for sale.

He listed three items

2 cases (10,000) rounds of Remington
1 case of Aguila Golden Target

Price was $140 per case for the Remington and $190 for the Aguila. I looked a the email and I said WTF?? This has to be wrong. Texted the seller and verified the price was accurate. He said that he already sold both cases of the Remington but still had the Aguila. So here I am looking at $1.90 per box. Now I have fired a few variants of Aguila through my Annie and it likes them fine. Never tried this one but can't believe it would be any different. So being a good person I said, will you take $180? He said sure.

Met him this morning FTF and saw the ammo and checked it out. All there...all in great shape. Gave him the $180 and loaded it into my Jeep. I had to ask...."Why are you selling all of this .22LR?"




His answer........

I could not stop laughing. He said he has some WOLF Match Extra as well... I said you know who to call buddy...and drove off.
Who says deals aren't out there?

I bought a case of Aguila 60gr SS 22lr for 200 bucks a short time back because, it was "a bad lot" an would not group well in his 16 twist at 100 yds. I took the chance my 9 twist would do better. I got lucky, as well.

At $1.80 a box it may not turn out to group well but it certainly will group well enough to hit pie plates at 25 and 50 yards. I occasionally teach a youth class at one of the clubs and it will be fine for that. The club reimburses me for the ammo I use so I won't be out anything and I get to teach some youngsters how to shoot.

If I get lucky, it will group fine out of the Annie and I can actually use it for practice.

I've never had issues with any of their ammo, save the smell. It's much like burnt plastic to me.
