so while back I got the literally very last master class adjustable buttock (it maybe I think it was called tubn 4 way?) put on my manners stock it took a long time. Finally got around to my project rifle.
It seems that the buttock is secured by just one crossbolt that clamps onto the metal bar.
I keep tightening it but I can still rotate the butt.
Am I missing something ? How do I secure it without snapping the crossbolt?

That’s a Tubb. They have one screw, where Sitman’s has two.

There’s good reason why Alex makes his with two.

Get on eBay... there are several buttplates on there that will actually fit your stock. The plate you have was built for a sporter or HTG.

I’d be fairly interested in taking that off your hands though, if you get a new one.

I have the same Tubb 3-way adjustable on my Palma rifle. The screw has to be pretty firm, but I never needed to really crank it down. I could see if the extension rod got loose, spun around, and rubbed the anodizing off of the hole in the plate.

Hey Mike thank you for the offer I appreciate it. I just figured this out. Since I am a damn midget and the butt stock is a bit too long for me Im just gonna put a little dimple in both plates a put a lead BB in there to keep it still.
Or I just might get rid of it altogether right now due to excessive LOP.
