I'm confused because I'm getting conflicting information. Does the 9" AAC upper that's 300 Blackout use the KAC URX II, URX III or RAS rail? I'm seeing all sorts of conflicting information regarding this with pictures & details. I got a part number of 100884 for the URX III version which Midways shows does indeed have the URX III rail pretty clearly in the description and picture. From what I've read that rail is made by KAC specifically for AAC for this upper which explains why the barrel ends right at the rail. I've also seen other pics where it says the same part number but is either a URX II or RAS and the barrel sticks out a couple inches. The AAC PDF shows the same part number but the details only say URX and the picture they use has a URX II with the barrel protruding a couple inches. Other vendors appear to have a photo of a RAS rail but it could just be a stock photo or ??

Can someone please clarify this for me definitively?

Thanks!

I got my answer.

In case anyone else has the same question I just got off the phone with Mike from AAC. Turns out there was never an upper made with the RAS. Sounds like ALL new production is with the 8" KAC URX III which is a custom rail made for AAC that meets the barrel right at the edge. Some older models use the URX II which is a 7" rail so the barrel extends slightly.
