I'm thinking of rebelling my 6.5 CM Ruger Precision Rifle with a 26 inch Bartlein stainless 5R barrel (Palma contour) with a 1:7.5 twist for the heavier bullets I like to shoot, including the Hornady 153 gr. A-Tip that I may begin reloading.

SO... is 1:7.5 twist OK for a 6.5 CM shooting 140 grains and up?

(BTW, my 6.5 PRC Browning X-Bolt Pro hunting rifle has a 1:7 twist. THANK YOU Browning.)

Yes that twist is fine.

I have a 1:7 in 6.5CM. Runs 140's and 147's fine, of course. Although I lose a lot of speed by comparison to an 8 twist.
