A lot does hinge on the 2020 elections for the USA.
If Trump wins and the Republicans keep their numbers or increase in the house as well, it will put the hurt on the deep state big time.

Now if Trump is somehow "looses" thanks to voter fraud and the republicans "looses" the senate, then things will kick into high gear as the democrats on the national stage try to make the VA legislature look positively mild & reasonable by comparison. Who knows what that would kick off.
