Pic of my RPK with Soviet NPSU night vision sight, complete with case and all accessories. The NPSU is a contemporary of the AN/PVS-2. Despite it's clunky odd looks, I think it is a little bit better than the PVS-2.

It wasn't like the AN-PVS-2 wasn't clunky. Or, that it lasted a long time. It did work for a while though
