They're like any other group. They enjoy the full spectrum from unhinged idiots to extremely articulate individuals. Most I've had to deal with are hot heads, and god luv'm, willing to take their lumps for their cause. They're like drunks. You can't reason with them. We pretty much just spell out how this is gonna go down and let the chips fall where they may. They are some stubborn sum bitches, that's for damn sure.

I dealt with a few. Never had a problem. Frankly, I am more in their camp than our legislature's at times... But some of them can be a bit, sporty.
Funny story, my first 'solo' traffic stop after FTO was a Sovereign Citizen. Unregistered trailer. Gun in console. Dusk. During a DUI sweep. He was not drunk. Gun was fine with me... he declared it. I am happy to see armed citizens and told him so. But he also had his kid in the car and may have been 'behaving.' I've seen him many times since, and we nod and exchange 'Hello's. ' I like the guy. It was a hell of a first traffic stop. But all went well. I've been told by some State Police that their interactions with the same guy were nowhere near as good... either because the Sovereign's don't like staties... or that they are generally ok with the locals... or that I didn't push is buttons... or that staties can be, well, peckerheads... at times. Not that I'd endorse that sentiment. But he and I had no problems. None since, either.
Had more problems with Prius-driving screaming leftist Bernie socialist Ivy-league trust funders calling me a Jack-booted Nazi and complaining that they were paying my salaries... when they got caught doing 60 in a 25 MPH school zone because they were late for their Yoga class... than any of the more 'right-minded' folks I encountered. I guess Barney Fife gets a pass.
That said... treat the Sovereign's with care. Some are a bit more... sovereign than others.

Hit it outta duh park Brother. I've had the talk with a few of them and said damn near exactly that word for word. "Brother, we're more on pace than you can imagine and I hear what you're saying, but here and now, this is how this is going down and nothing you say or do is going to change that. So please, let's just go through the motions without anymore charges or a Hospital run". 'Capisce'.

I was thinking about the stop after the above posting and I remember that the guys kid was named "Jim." I remember saying to the kid: "Jim... that's a really good name. You know who Jim Bridger and Jim Bowie were? They were some really great Americans... You dad can tell you about them. And why you have a great name! "
Sometimes a history degree can be of value.... Or, knowing what it means to be a great American.

We had one come through here a while ago. Got really stupid with our Sheriff. Guy told the Sheriff he couldn't carry a gun because of some convoluted NW Ordinance reference. Sheriff told him the 2nd Amendment applied to him as well. Had a suspended DL wife was nice, poor lady. He was cited and his wife was going to drive until he decided to get out of his rig and start thumping his chest and kicking dirt at passing vehicles. Arrested for disorderly conduct went to jail. Cost his old lady money they didn't have to bail his worthless ass out. Loser. The sovereign BS just enables a lot of mentally ill people.

What percentage of your income do you feel the powers to be have the right to take from you? I submit no matter what the % up to an including 100% will be enough at some point, based upon their past history!
Zero... but since there are some basic services that should be funded... I am happy to pay... something. Just not as much as I do... and more than zero.
Maybe someday, we'll find a happy medium.
And the 100 percent number... was not enough for the British Socialists in the 1960's. There was a 110 percent tax on high incomes in the '60s, designed to eliminate the wealthy class. The Beatles got hit by it... which was why they wrote the song "Tax Man" and then moved to New York.

whatever percentage it takes to run the constitutional parts of our government that are involved in carrying out their prescribed Constitutional duties. If you look at the list of things they are supposed to do we could eliminate 99% of our government.

I used to drive from Corpus Christi via the state highways around 1969 before the DDE Interstate Highway system was completed. I must say Im happy to pay the taxes to have the Interstates, Blowing my tax money up in the desert to keep Exxon in business, not so much.
Relatively simple. Eliminate the illegal alien problem and put the welfare recipients to work at a CCW type situation, rebuilding highway infrastructure,etc. Give them room and board, a stipend and money for education post program.
Give the illegals guns and tell them to go home and fight for theirs.
When its all hunky dory we'll meet at the border for a huge fiesta.
CCC's. Great idea but........ Back during the depression people WANTED to work. Welfare people today really don't. Where I live it is economically depressed but there are jobs. I just bought one of those prefabbed sheds the Mennonites make here. The kid that runs it says he can't get anyone that wants to work. He said if you hustle you can make about $200 a day. He said everyone that tries lasts about 2 shift max. Most don't last the day. He said he wished there were some Mexicans around here so he could get some good help. Our welfare housing here is full of young single mothers with their 2 or 3 fuck trophys. There are young men that have EBT cards an they use them to buy energy drinks I see that all the time. They sit under a big tree smoking cigarettes texting on their Obama phones or Trump phones now. Life is good. Marijuana is legal you got a dry place to fuck. Free health care, food, no responsibility. Fuck work. Its too late for any kind of reality for these people unless we have TEOTWAWKI. Then the jar of pickles in the fridge will run out and the EBT cards stop working. First they come up on the hill to beg. Then they come up on the hill to steal and kill. No, buy ammo but buy some food too.
