As it has been noted many times, this site has spam filters in place to keep unwanted and potentially dangerous spambots off the site.
There are specific triggers which activate these filters which can easily caught a new member or an old member with less than 10 posts showing. If you include, images, links, email addresses, etc in your post the spam filters will mostly certainly "Moderate" the post.
What this does is put the post in a queue where we can then manually approve it or submit the spam to a database so we can block them.
If you make a post and it magically "disappears" or you happen to notice it says the post has been "moderated" do not make a another post, the exact same thing will happen. If you do make 2, 3, 4 of the same posts all your posts will be deleted and not approved. If you complain about it, your posts will be deleted as most complaints have to do with the speed of our approval process. Contrary to popular belief we do not live behind computers and wake up to serve you and your all important post. We do a lot of stuff in the field, on the range which usually requires us (me) to leave early in the morning and come home later in the day. So as soon as my schedule opens up I approve the posts. This is usually within 12 to 24 hours of your posts. On rare occasions it can be 48 hours, especially when I am running classes which I do quit often.
There are warning all over this site about it, and it's not hard to find. Understand this site's For Sale Section is for "Contributing Members" which means you should be able to make 10 posts even if you lost them in the transition. It's 10 posts to tell the system, "yes I belong here' and "no I am not a spambot" ... so contribute before you try selling your stuff. And don't post the same thing over and over again as it will move your backwards and not forward.
It's not hard to be smarter than the spam filter, it's designed to catch mindless Bots that post crap on forums and believe it happens every day. Having weed through 4 posts about your Remington 5R for sale is not something I enjoy I doing and will just let them stay mixed up with the Spam and get deleted.
