Specifics on swapping from stock to chassis

I have a 6.5 PRC sitting in a PRS-1 w/mini chassis, I assume it's the gen 2, but I didnt build the rifle, the PRS-1 is the new model with the thumb rest, so i assume it had to be gen 2 mini chassis? Its running the single stack accurate mags (they're AICS cut?) .300 wsm mags. I have decide I like the chassis system a little better and figure it's just a bolt and go swap. Going to put this stock up for a trade on here, but not sure what I need to ask for...

What do I need to know as far as specifics on chassis...I dont see option for DBM with chassis systems...will my current barreled action and trigger just drop in? It's a Tuebor Raider with a M24 bbl and a triggertech...do I need a certain type of DBM for those mags to work?

Pardon my ignorance

Thanks

The only specs you need to know are. It fits 700 footprint actions. What type of magazine you’ll be using. That’s pretty much it. Your action is a great action but doesn’t stray far from a 700 footprint that you’ll have issues.

So the best part I found out I like with a chassis is the adjustability on the chassis itself. With my Mdt acc chassis it’s been a straight drop barreled action in, torque, and go shoot setup. From an aw mag fed action running aw magazines to a new impact 737 using single stack mags same no problems.
You’re specific action specs on the website claim it fits all 700 footprint stocks.
I think you might be confused on the dbm meaning, because all chassis are dbm as far as I know. I don’t think there is a chassis that doesn’t use ( detachable box magazines) most all run aics pattern mags unless otherwise stated in specs for said chassis.

As great as chassis are for just dropping in a barreled action with any size barrel and all the modularity that comes with one I’m finding out I miss my manners stock ergonomics( it’s more traditional fitting for me. I’ll be selling my chassis here next week in the px. There’s nothing a prs1 or similar cant do that a chassis can except add For my purposes. Except swap to different actions and add more weight all over. I’ll be sticking to my impact.

I recommend contacting the chassis manufacture you have in mind and ask them. If they’ve ran this action in their chassis. They’ll be able to tell you if so.
I hope this helps you out some.

Is it a short action manners stock/chassis system? If so then I would look for a SA chassis for the gun. However with that, I cannot find a single stack 300WSM aics accurate mag, only DSSF(double stack single feed) 3 rd and 7rd mags. The only single stack mags I’ve seen are 300WM mags which would make your set up a long action. If they’re indeed DSSF 300WSM mags, then it’s gonna be a short action chassis you want.

As far as chassis’s go, you do not need a bottom metal as it is integrated into the chassis it self. Bolt your action in and start shooting. It’s extremely simple and pain free.
